Tim vd Vliet on trading
30 comments / December 1, 2013
As a follow up on last post, just found this youtube video of my pal Tim van der Vliet, the trader who turned yogi. Also starring Ewald Engelen, and English subtitles are embedded. No matter to which extent you (dis)agree with the opinions shared in the video, you must admit this is a professional piece of work.
If you are in a hurry, on 1:42 nostalgic photos of the RD crowd.
first,
what’s there to (dis)agree with the opinions shared, specially when those dishing them out in the video seem to have never traded their own cash, are not active in markets, haven’t worked in various financial market participants and haven’t got an idea of what exactly goes on there excepting the supposed ‘big bonuses’, yes i very definitely admit this is a professional piece of work, let’s see if this passes through TomV’s censor filter
This was as boring as trading the aussie single stocks. what a pointless piece.
What do I have to do to get featured twice in amsterdamtrader?
Run naked? twice?
And write a book about it.
I bought the book btw, a signed edition.
how come the Aussie single stock and running naked comments have not been censored?
Just like the previous item a good piece.
I suggest all those vinegar pissing wanna-be traders (from mainly the other side of the world) start their own forum instead of spitting out theit totally useless comments here.
[brrrrrp]
Tim, are you still involved in trading? Are you related to this company http://tulipfx.com ?
No, I am no longer involved in trading, you can read more about my philosophy at Open je ogen and Spiritul Awakening
who is running Tulip FX, what’s the aum?
from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_van_der_Vliet :
Tim is the part owner of Tulip Forex and spends his time pursuing profit making strategies.
I just looove profit making
is that how tim is paying the bills, through tulip profit making?
he lost his fortune trading, and as every past trader knows its a redundant skillset with no transferrable skills in other finance disciplines, therefore at his age instead of putting his tail between his legs and sucking up his losses, he’s doing the famous ‘I’ve found myself and am now a loving hippy with no cares for making money’
yeah. farrrrking. right
instead of dissing on someone, why don’t you try figuring out his source of cash now, is tulip profit making so high, is the dutch social security high enough to raise 4 kids?
@ 5:51
Just follow “old skool trader’s” advice and start your own vinegar pissing blog instead of dissing randomly people. It must be really annoying to missed out in the good days and stay a salary slave forever!
‘is the dutch social security high enough to raise 4 kids?’
Yes
no wonder Europe is such a mess, instead of writing zen books and collecting govt handouts, he should be made to earn his living and his kids be encouraged to go to apprentice schools rather than expensive govt funded universities
why is vinegar pissing not being censored TomV?
That is because “vinegar pissing” is official trading language.
all the censorship, grow up already mate
tim 600 000 is toch niks wat een mini
is this good translation –
tim 600 000 Is not nothin ‘mini
you sound like saying 600k is not a small deal, are you dutch?
Arjan Kool, is that you?
no, he is out looking for a new opportunity in Risk and/or Compliance
2:55 Hans in the background.
nice try with the mobile version, but it ain’t got the list for recent comments
2:55. All royal dutch shell crowd ?
